New Hope receives 501(c)(3) status from IRS!

New Hope Community Partnership is pleased to announce that we recently received our letter of approval from the Internal Revenue Service confirming our status as a public charity and exempt from federal income taxes.

As an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations to New Hope are fully tax deducible as allowed by law (retroactively back to April 8, 2016). A copy of the IRS letter can be found on our website, on the about us page.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to New Hope and join our mission of bringing a community center to Brunswick! Donations can be mailed to our office at 7 South Maryland Ave., Brunswick, MD 21716 or made online at http://www.newhopepartnership.org/call-to-action.

“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status from the IRS is a major administrative milestone for New Hope Community Partnership,” remarked President Robert Gunter. “Having this under our belt now allows us to pursue grants and other funding opportunities limited to officially-recognized charities. Moreover, our IRS status provides a clear indication to the public of the organization’s credibility and sustainability. I am proud of our accomplishments over the past few months since our formation and look forward to pursing our mission and objectives in 2017 with our community partners.”

“Additionally, all of us at New Hope would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to The Federated Charities of Frederick for having served as our fiscal sponsor while our IRS application was pending. Federated Charities has been serving Frederick County and nonprofit organizations for over 100 years and we look forward to additional partnership opportunities with them in the future. And special thanks to Elin Ross, Executive Director of Federated Charities, for her guidance and assistance during our start up phase.”
